1- Smashpop Popcorn Crisps: In an attempt to eat mindfully and to live a healthy life, I try to avoid processed foods as much as possible. Like I mentioned in my post about 6 Game-Changing Nutrition Rules to Live By, I almost always opt for almonds or fruit if I need a snack.
With that being said, I love popcorn and occasionally indulge my popcorn cravings by making my own popcorn in a brown bag or on the stove with a tiny bit of coconut oil and sea salt.
A few weeks ago I spotted Smashpop ‘Sweet and Salty’ Popcorn Crisps on the shelf at Sam’s Club. Being the popcorn lover that I am, the bag caught my eye and I decided to test them out.
The verdict: a delicious and relatively healthy alternative to chips or other processed snacks! My kids love them, as do I. Although I still encourage you to opt for whole foods like almonds or fruit as snack option, if you’re going to reach for a processed snack food, these are one of your healthier options!
