Do you guys remember Senior Superlatives? As a senior in high school, I definitely wasn’t voted best dressed and, retrospectively, I realize that it was for a good reason!
When I was younger, fashion was just not my thing. Getting dressed every day was something I had to do, but certainly something I enjoyed or put any thought into. As a matter of fact, well into my early twenties, I actually hated shopping.
Isn’t it funny how we changed as we get older?
Now in my early thirties, if I had to choose between breathing or shopping, I might just choose shopping…
Okay, maybe that’s a stretch but let’s just say that if you were to invite me to go shopping, I’d probably be sitting in the car with the keys in the ignition before you could finish your sentence.
Every time the seasons change, I’m eager to see what new trends will take center stage. This fall, there are so many wearable trends that are easy to work into your everyday wardrobe.
Fall/Winter Trend Alert: Metallic Shine
Shiny metallic silvers, golds, and coppers are definitely one of the hottest trends for Fall/Winter 2016-2017. The catwalks have been swarming with light-reflective metallic dresses, tops, pants, and more.
When I ran across this shimmery gold top, I knew I’d found the first metallic piece I wanted to add to my closet.
So far I’ve paired this metallic gold top with white jeans and nude heals and with jeans and ankle booties, but I can’t wait to play around with it a little more. I’m thinking it would pair nicely with a black leather pants and heels for an edgier look!
My top is from Leclerc Blagnac, but for those of you that are stateside, I hunted down some good metallic gold options for you:
So go ahead and get your metallic shine on – not to be confused this shine … 🙂
